This beautiful, hard to find, set of 2 vintage Martha by Mail flat back copper cookie cutters were available exclusively by Martha Stewart for a limited period of time. Beginning in 1996, the Martha by Mail catalog offered exquisite sets of large flat-back solid copper cutters.

Made for Martha by the man Martha called “America’s Premiere Coppersmith”—Michael Bonne— the cutters are titled and engraved on the handles “Mighty Acorn” and “Sugar Squirrel”, catalog item KMB007.

This set, one of the most beloved from Martha\'s Catalog, was used once. I will include a color photocopy of a page from the catalog to give you additional decorating ideas as well as a recipe for \"no spread\" sugar cookies.

The cutters are stamped with Martha\'s name for each of the cutters on the handle, \"SUGAR SQUIRREL\" and \"MIGHTY ACORN\".

As with all of Martha\'s cutters made by Michael Bonne, they are formed from a single sheet of copper with the sides hand placed around a pattern. Therefore, each cutter is handmade and no two are exactly alike. Because the cutters are heavy duty with strong, solid handles and wonderfully sharp cutting edges, they can be used on any cookie or bread dough with ease.

They show beautiful patina for their vintage age and would be wonderful to use in your kitchen or hanging in your home as shown in the photo above! Michael Bonne did make copper hangers for Martha\'s copper cutters although they are rarely seen.

I am liquidating my entire collection of copper cookie cutters, Martha cake and candy molds, and pumpkin carving and stamping kits, as I have health issues and arthritis that make it impossible for me to bake and craft as I once did. I look forward to sharing my treasures with bakers and crafters.
