The jolly old friar is a Goebel product in the form of a large mug/stein made to look like the \"Friar Tuck\" Hummel figurine. Goebel has been in operation since 1871 and has been making Hummel designs since 1935. This particular item is from the TKM-2 era and was likely produced between 1950 and 1955 as indicated by the Full Bee mark pictured on its base, and the fact that this Friar Tuck has hand painted sandaled feet instead of the all black feet of later productions.
This mug/stein is in Good! condition. While there is no damage, chips, or deep scratches the friar\'s robes does have a number of scuffs and transfers you could expect from a long life of storage and use. Please study the photos carefully before purchase.
This mug is approximately 6.5 inches tall with a 3.5 inch base, has a sturdy fits most hands handle, and would hold about 0.5 liters.
