This is a really cool vintage battery kit. It was made by the W.M. Manufacturing Company in Chicago, IL. You could experiment making many types of different batteries, including a Grenet Cell (zinc and carbon).
There is a center insert that enabled you to make batteries with two different electrolytes.Included with the kit are six different metals and one carbon rod. The metals are lead, aluminum, zinc, nickel, tin, and copper.
