Vintage German Wooden Nativity Carving. This was among estate items from my German Grandmother. This item was possibly mainly stamped and also has some hand carving. I don't know a lot about the item or the technique used to create it so I am trying to be as descriptive as possible. The display is 4 inches tall, 6.5 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide. The arch is made from two very thin strips of darker wood that are joined at the top. The center image is made of very thin white wood that looks like the image could have possibly been stamped out or even possibly done with an exacto knife. I tried to take pictures from angles that would show how thin the images were. I don't know what year this was made in but possibly the 1960's or 70's.
