"Santons de Provence" which translates to "Little Saints from the Provence region of France." These dolls have quite a history. These Santon dolls are hard to find and are beautifully crafted. This Santon woman measures 12" tall and is made of clay (as all the Little Saints are). Made by Simone Jouglas, a French "santonnier" (French artist who designs and creates these Santons)." Her facial features are hand painted.
She is signed on her clay base "S.Jouglas"
