Item Description

Here is a nice vintage French Carriage Clock for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!

Nice French carriage clock here. The clock has a light yellow background porcelain dial with raised white numbering. The face of the clock has black markings for the minutes. The hands on this clock match and look appropriate to the clock

Beveled glass on all four sides and the top is intact. The front piece of glass is blistered in the bottom right corner, and the left side of the glass that is blistered in the upper left corner and the lower right corner.

Nice brass gold lacquered case. Beautiful trim along the corners, top and bottom. Some minor finish loss. The clock is quite heavy for it\'s size. Has a nicely adorned handle on the top. The clock probably dates to the 1930s.

This fine Vintage Carriage Clock is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end sale house or Clock shop. We have been selling items out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don\'t have the overhead that the high end sale houses and Clock Shops experience.

The rear door of the case has both hinge pins on it as well.We have done nothing to clean the case but wipe it down. All five pieces of the glass, including the top piece, are beveled.

Nice brass movement on this clock. The back of the movement has \"France\" noted on it. The time spring of the movement feel sound when keyed. A wind key will come with the clock. No key will be provided for the wind to advance the clock hands.

The clock does run. The clock is currently in running condition.

The clock stands 4.75\" tall (5.75\" with handle up), by 2.7/8\" across, by 2.5\" wide. The clock face is 1.75\" across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

We are selling this clock in running, and alarm striking condition at this juncture,no warranty intended. There is no representation that the clock is in original condition, or will continue to be in working order.

As can be expectedwhen dealing with an antique clock, some adjustments may be needed aftershipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be verydelicate. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocksbefore, I would suggest you steer clear. One really needs to have thepatience, and skill to work with these great works of art. They are notour modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. Please ask anyquestions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.
