No two Fred Zimbalist music boxes are alike. This one, made in India, has a sailboat, trees, birds and moon on the top cover and a jumping deer on the inside of the cover. The sides have a flower and leaves design. This is hand tooled and etched. The box is silver nickel plating on brass with cabriole legs. The Thorens Movement plays \"Anniversary Song\". The winder has been replaced with a new brass one. The older one is shown in the last photograph and will be included but the threads on it are stripped. The original owner taped the music box information on the bottom. It reads \"THORENS Movement\" \"Anniversary Song\" \"FRED ZIMBALIST & CO.\" \"SWISS MUSIC BOXES\" \"Cleveland 5, Ohio\". Five digit zip codes were established in 1963 so I believe this box was manufactured prior to that. There is also a notation to not overwind but this is mostly illegible. The tape and paper are yellowed and brittle. The back hinges are marked \"727\" and \"MADE IN INDIA\". The movement is marked \"THORENS MADE IN SWITZERLAND\" and \"5\". The size is 3-1/4\" x 3-1/4\" x 2-1/2\" high.This would make a beautiful anniversary gift or an addition for a collector of vintage music boxes.
