Slide-lid is oxidized closed. No red/brown rust.

This guy is in VERY good shape save the oxidized top plate, slider.
As much as they were used in household cooking, and nobody was concerned about collecting them :-), most found their way to the trash and burn piles. This one is a survivor as it is not empty.
