Vintage Fletcher PD2 Diamond Point Glaziers driver. Very Good Condition, classic Fletcher Hunters Green.

Acquired at Estate Sale - owner indicated his Father had refurbished the driver - this is an older model, with original Birchwood base.

Uses the Red Devil #1602 diamond points - a few included from refurbishing and testing.

Tested - feeder spring, trigger spring and driver spring are tight and solid - driver spring adjustable. Pivot points are oiled and move freely as designed.

Guide Plate slides very smoothly within the Drive Plate. Tested and works like new with solid trigger and point action.

NOTE: This is an original earlier model Fletcher PD2 diamond point driver, made by Fletcher under license from the Red Devil Tool Company. The frame is made of heavier die cast metal and the foot is Birchwood. Driver weighs 1lb. 9 oz. as opposed to later models made of aluminum and weighing only 12 oz. Also, note stamped on the handle is the "FLETCHER" brand and "PD2" as the point size. Later models used "DP2", and the brand name was affixed with a small foil label.
