An absolutely delightful quilt/quilt top that has been completely hand-pieced, with hand and machine stitching. The front holds a wonderful variety of feed sack fabrics, and the back is also comprised of old flour and feed sack muslin and cotton. Some of the pieces retain their advertisement lettering. The sides have an abstract floral and the top and bottom a navy, green, ivory, and khaki plaid. The artist\'s signature, Geneva (her name was Genevieve) Owry, is stitched in the center of the piece within the sea green fabric piece. This has been stored for a very long time and has some staining to note. There are two dark brown spots, some random brown spotting/streaking, and what looks like some old water marks as shown on the back side, primarily in the lower corners, as when it was folded. It measures generously at 92 x 76 Inches. I am offering this as-found/as-is. It has not been laundered, and again, has been stored in a wonderful property in the country for decades. This home was full of heirloom and family pieces. The fabric integrity is sound and I see no holes or any other issues of fabric deterioration. I do not see any silks, so this should be safe to launder with care. It would be amazing to see this finished and brought to its intended glory. Geneva worked very hard on this special quilt and hope a loving home will be found. These wonderful oldies are textile marvels; works of art!
