Here’s a very large Belgian made briar from Hilson. Meer lined, nicely blasted—quite nice! About 6 1/2” long, bowl is 2 3/8” tall, 1 5/8” wide. ID 7/8”, depth 1 7/8”. Marked beneath shank HILSON then BLOCK/ MEERSCHAUM LINED then 108. A capital H stamped on side of bit. No other marks detected.
Bit is well-seated push fit, no filter, cleaned and polished, showing no bite wear. Stummel is black, deeply sandblasted, clean rim and bowl, Meer lining thick and intact. Elegant old briar!
