Here’s a nicely crafted compact GBD New Standard billiard. About 5 3/4” long, bowl is 1 7/8” tall, 1 1/4” wide. ID 3/4”, depth 1 5/8”. Marked on one side of shank GBD in oval then New Standard in script, other side LONDON, ENGLAND/ V692F. A white GBD medallion inlaid on side of bit. No other marks detected.

Bit is well-seated push fit, no filter, cleaned and polished, showing a couple very light tooth impressions. Stummel is rich milk chocolate colored, variable grain, some handling wear, clean inwardly beveled rim

with some darkening, lightly caked bowl. Old briar is the best briar!
