Vintage Disney CINDERELLA, Colgate-Palmolive Promotion Card Picture Wall Hanging:

A set of (3) Dutch promotional cards released by Colgate Palmolive during the 1950s. Featuring gorgeous imagery from the Disney Studios latest animated film of the time, "Cinderella" (1950), each card has a summary of the film in both French and Dutch on the reverse. The cards are in Excellent condition with very minor discoloration present on only a couple of cards.

I found the full set of cards years ago when I was decorating my daughter’s bathroom in vintage Cinderella. I wanted to display these gorgeous cards and racked my brain on how to do so without them getting damaged by steam and condensation in the bathroom. I came up with the idea of placing each original card between glass to preserve and protect. Next I wrapped the glass edges with copper foil tape and soldered the tape to seal it air tight. The result came out better than I imagined. The solder quickly patinaed giving it an authentic vintage look. Each glass piece has metal rings soldered onto the backside corners where I attached the chain. All of the chains have rusted but just like the patina, the rust gives an authentic look to the entire piece.

•Each glass piece measures approximately 5”h x 6”w x 1/8”d

•From the top picture to the bottom picture measures approximately 20”

•Top chain to hang on wall measures approximately 2.5” pulled taut.

•Entire piece measures approximately

22 1/2”h x 6”w.

This is one of two pieces I made. I am listing the other piece which is exactly like this one but with 3 different scenes. I made the pair using my personal favorite 6 cards. I have the other 6 unframed cards available and will be listing those as well. Maybe you could try your hand at this design and preserve all 12?!?

These are definitely one-of-a-kind pieces and an amazing way to preserve these beautiful pieces of Disney history. My heart breaks to part with them but my daughter is now 16 and I recently got the, “Mom, I’m too old for Cinderella” speech. Time to pass them on.
