This vintage Dietz Night Watch Traffic Gard Lantern is a unique addition to any collection. Made in N.Y.  the United States, it is a rare find for collectors of railroadiana and transportation memorabilia. The lantern comes complete with a globe and has only had one owner. The globe is Dietz and also refects Little Wizard on the actual globe. Unsure exact age I know it was in use in 1961 and likely before by my grandfather.

The brand of this lantern is Dietz, known for producing high-quality lighting equipment. This particular lantern is perfect for collectors of hardware and lanterns/lamps. It would make a great decorative piece for any home or office.

Lantern has all parts. It does have some areas of rust though appear surface not through and through. The globe is fully intact no cracks, chips, scratches. For age it is in remarkable condition. It should light, but wick is very old so might be good idea to replace.

I have not tried to clean it or refinish in any way. It will be up to buyer about restoration. Photos are not retouched and the pictures are the item you will receive.
