Beautiful, hand carved wooden statue which resembles the body of a curvy woman that stands on a cube shaped base of the same solid wood. Simple yet elegantly designed with natural and lifelike details. Signed and dated by artist, which looks to be marking the year of creation “97” (1997). Artist name can not be determined, but we can recognize the word “Cuba” carved into the base- that allows us to draw up a colorful and interesting story in our own imaginations of the artist that crafted this folk art piece, and the lively locale that played host to the commencement of it’s journey to us today.
