All of the pens and pencil were tested at time of listing to be in working order with good ink, lead and eraser. The ballpoint pen has a Cross fine black ink cartridge installed that was tested to write. A Cross Brand NOS fine black refill in vintage tube is included and has been tested to work. The pencil has medium soft (0.9mm) lead and NOS eraser installed under the cap. A vintage Cross brand NOS medium soft refill tube containing 15 pieces of lead and a vintage Cross brand NOS tube containing 3 erasers is included with the set. A NOS set of two (2) Select Tip porous tip pen refills, fine blue ink, in their original packaging. These refills were not tested, but it is assumed they work with viable ink. These are being provided in their original packaging so that the buyer can remove them and place them in the box, under the pen holder to complete the set.
The Cross dark brown clamshell case features a green felt interior with three (3) elastic banded slots to hold the 3-pen/pencil set. The inside of the box lid has the Red Lettered Cross logo on a yellow satin fabric and slot for the Cross manual/warranty pamphlet. The pamphlet has a copyrighted date of 1975. This appears to be period matching to the set, but cannot be validated. The green, velvet pen holder interior can be lifted to reveal the green felt lined bottom that is used to hold the soft tip refills. The refills included with the set can be removed from their vintage packaging and stored under the pens. This is left for the buyer to do to complete the set.
A new, unused, black, 3-slot PU Leather Pen Holder is included so that these pens can be carried by the buyer and protect them during use. This new item was removed from its original packaging for photographs only. It was returned to its original packaging and is included in the box with this item.
The three pens are shipped in the vintage Cross box inside new, black velveteen sleeves to protect them during transit.
