Vintage Craftsman Low Angle Knuckle Joint Block Plane Like Stanley 65 Shop Ready:

This is a beautiful and excellent example of a Vintage Craftsman Low Angle Knuckle Joint Block Plane. It is approx 7 inches long with a blade width of 1-5/8 inches. It is comparable to Stanley’s model number 65.

The good ones of these premium and wider low angle planes is becoming difficult to find. They have become a desirable collectible.

Metal bed and all other metal parts are fine, no cracks, chips or breaks. The lever cap is fine as well.

The throat or mouth opening is fine, no cracks or chips. The original black japanning finish is great more than 90 percent remaining.

The original Craftsman cutter is fine no bends kinks or pitting and it is nearly full length and has been freshly sharpened with a correct bevel of 25 degrees.

This plane is in very nice or fine condition and will make a great user or collector.

recently retired. One of my hobbies has been woodworking, but never had the time to do it as well as would like. A few years ago I became passionate about using vintage hand tools vs. battery or electric powered whenever it made sense

to do so.

Today my passion still thrives and I enjoy properly oiling/waxing, cleaning or refurbishing, if needed those same vintage woodworking tools.

My goal is to place as many

of these high quality made in the USA vintage hand tools back into

the hands of today’s craftsmen.

I would never “part out” a good tool just for the proceeds. If the tool I have acquired is serviceable I will put it into as good of condition it can be and sell to friends or on . All I am trying to

do is receive some compensation for my time and retain enough capital to be able to purchase more tools, some in need of gentle care.
