Rare vintage Lyngby Porcelain Factory figurine of a chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) seated on a tree stump. One in the ornithological Collection Design by Danish artist A. Dørlit done in 1965 - 1969 and produced by the Lyngby Porcelain Factory, which was swallowed up by Royal Copenhagen and ceased to exist in 1969. Excellently modeled and painted, in superb condition. The bottom is impressed with initial D of the designer, marked with a Royal Crown, Denmark, Copenhagen and Lyngby Porcelain Factory logo, painted model number 7A. Height 5 3/8 inches.
