Okay, I realize that this isn\'t an M1 helmet listing, but we DO sell other things too!Up for grabs - right here, right now, right away -is a SSh-68 Russian/Soviet helmet.Further details are listed below:
Details:This helmet is complete, but it\'s been seen a little action. Without further adieu, here are all of the details:IN GENERAL:I\'ve had this guy for awhile, but I\'m trying to trim the fat abit. I\'m selling it AS I FOUND IT. I have not done anything to it at all. The (loose) knot that is tied with the chin straps was done by a previous owner. I haven\'t washed it or used leather cleaner on the straps or liner. It is \'unmessed-with\'... at least by me.SHELL: This guy is in pretty good shape. It has a very small amount of rust and a few scratches. There is also a tiny dent on the top of the crown. There are no cracks, warping, or large dents present.
LINER: The webbing is a four panel type made from \'Leatherette\' (also called Pleather, fake leather, synthetic leather). It has some cracking, but I\'m sure that leather/shoe cleaner will make it look a lot nicer. (Then again, it may completely ruin it. Better do a little research first - I\'m just a random guy giving advice on the internet...) The chin strap appears to be real leather, but I\'m not certain. There is a heat stamp on the front rim and it reads: 1.53671. There are some ink stamps on the inside and the ones that I can read are: 1 (in a circle), 320, and 28 (in a circle). The \'1\' represents a size \"Small\", but it\'s still pretty large. These were designed to be worn with a hat underneath, so they\'re over-sized. I\'m a head size 7 5/8 and there\'s quite a bit of room left over.
IN CONCLUSION: It\'s in good shape and there\'s nothing broken (like the webbing, straps, or loops/bails) and there are no major dents. It\'s \'been there\', so please look carefully at all of the photos before you even THINK about buying - I don\'t do refunds.NOTE:I usually have a number of other items listed as well.
