Vintage Clay Stone Slab of Mayan Bat God from Copan Ruinas Honduras 4.5 Inch
This slab was made and acquired in 1988 in Copan Ruinas in Honduras and was made by indigenous possibledescendantsof the Maya at the site of the Mayan Copan region. There was a large Mayan city at this location at the edge of the jungle. Walking in the jungle and at the top of a half overgrown small pyramid type building one could see a number of overgrown structures covered by jungle growth. Only a tiny part of the Mayan city has been excavated, most is still covered by jungle. Who knows what is there to be unearthed. This slab is about 4 and a half inches almost square and about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. The message is written on the back by the man who made it in the image of an ancient Mayan carving at that site.
