You are offerding in a Vintage Cigar tin Case American occupation of Veracruz Mexico 1914 with Rough Rider engraving and the PLURIBUS UNUM shield, I dont know if the tin cigar case was made in Mexico or USA maybe the case was made before 1914 because the soldier engraving appearance, this Case was from a private collection who told me was from Veracruz Occupation he bought it in the 1960s in Veracruz, extremly difficult to find this kind of articles.The US occupation of Veracruz in 1914 had the purpose of preventing the arrival of a large shipment of arms at the hands of the Mexican federal army and the supporting Venustiano Carranza\'s constitutionalist forces in their revolutionary struggle. It occurred a few days after the so-called Tampico incident of April 9, 1914, by which the US government \"felt offended\" by the government of Victoriano Huerta. The \"occupation\" began with the taking of the port of Veracruz on April 21, 1914 and culminated with the departure of foreign troops on November 23 of the same year.
