Vintage Christian Ulbricht Father Christmas / Santa Incense Smoker, 11”, ExVC:

This listing is for a Father Christmas or Santa wood smoker / incense burner by well known manufacturer Christian Ulbricht. He stands 11” tall at the highest point of his hat. He has a long stemmed pipe in his mouth which bellows smoke when the incense is burned in the bottom. A staff with a bell on its crook is in his left hand. In his right he holds a circle festooned with small bells. His hat, coat, beard, hair and sporty mustache are depicted in fiber. He’s an older fellow, not of recent production, although I am not exactly sure when he was made. He is in superb vintage condition having never been used and stored carefully. The only issue I see being that the small bells at one time were attached around the circle now have come loose. The label on the bottom reads G(Z?)eiffener Rubknackerhaus / Christian Ulbricht / Erzgebirgishe Volkskunst / Made in Germany. Smoke and pet free home.
