Very Pretty Set of 2 Porcelain Swan Candle Holders made by Chikusa. Marked Occupied in Japan on the bottom of each, this dates this piece production from 1945-1951 whenImperial Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces of Great Britain, China, the Soviet Union and the United States in 1945. Each Swan is so ornate with its high gloss white base decorated with pink and blue applied flowers and leaves and with gold trim. Each will hold a taper candle and marked Chikusa Made in Occupied Japan.
Each candle holder stands 4\" high x 5\" wide and are in very good used condition free of any cracks or crazing. There are some very small chips on the applied flowers which is consistent with pieces of this age and the delicate porcelain materials but nothing noticeableand doesn\'t takes away from the overall beauty of this pair. Would look lovely on any dining room table or in a bedroom side table or bathroom. Also would make a wonderful gift for someone special and perfect for any Occupied Japan collectors.
Vintage and antique items have been loved and used by the previous owner so please expect for there to be some imperfections. If there are any major imperfections such as age cracks, rust, chips, etc I will do my best to list them. I will combine shipping if you buy multiple items when I can.
