Vintage Ceramic Pottery Sewer What Cheer Iowa IA Male Frog Toad Brown:

This unique male frog sculpture was crafted by the What Cheer Sewer Tile Company in What Cheer, Iowa. It was made from sewer tile clay stoneware and finished with an impressed backstamp and lead glaze. The frog features a warm chestnut color with realistically textured glaze on his back and hind legs in a a darker chocolate hue.
The What Cheer frogs were made in the early 20th century for a lumberjack convention and they cost 20 cents a piece.

There are no chips or damages that I was able to locate, however the bottom side of the frog’s feet has some small clay fragments that were fired on in the kiln.
