Celluloid French Ivory Vanity Set Circa 1930s in the Art Deco Style. This set includes a powder box with lid and a hair receiver with lid. Hair receivers were used to store hair removed from brushes to recycle in various ways. Celluloid became popular as a less expensive material for many uses including vanity sets. It was often called \"French Ivory\" as this form was developed in France and had lines that resembled expensive ivory. These lines are seen on each piece. The pieces are labeled Ivory DuBarry Pyralin, the name used by DuPont. The vintage pieces are in very good condition with no nicks, chips and very little wear. Each box is 5 inches across and 2 inches tall with lids. Please see photos for details and condition. These are delicate pieces and will be wrapped in acid free paper for protection.
