Found this iron Wrench in a collection of very old tools. The 1/2\" diam. stem is about 4-1/2\" long and the end inserted in the wood handle is threaded as a bolt. Assume that the iron tool came off of a farm implement or long iron handle. I improvised and made a 1-1/2\" diam. wood handle 6-1/4\" long. the overall length is 11-1/2\". The iron has what looks to be a number 18 cast into the tool. I am assuming it was manuf. in the USA and could date back to the early 1900\'s. The head of the wrench is approx. 3-1/2\" by 2-3/4\"--I can assure you that this tool will withstand a great amount of torque due to the cast metal and leverage of length--Very comfortable grip. One of a kind collectible.
