ORIGINAL VINTAGE CURRIER & IVES 'WINTER IN THE COUNTRY THE OLD GRIST MILL' LARGE FOLIO RESTRIKE LITHOGRAPHThis is just a great original piece. I have never tried to resell one of these original restrike Currier & Ives large folios because I have never come across one of them that was as great as this one. I know many of the Clipper ship restrikes are out there and not many of them are not that good. If this were the original large folio, it sells for many thousands of dollars. This is a beautiful example of this lithograph. Image measures 18 1/2 x 27 inches and is a very fine example of this lithograph. Crisp and clean impression. Large margins around the edges are clean as well with just a very small stain in the upper left corner. A few other very faint spots but nothing too bad. Really just an excellent example of this vintage lithograph. If it werent this good, I wouldnt even try and sell it but it really is a beautiful display piece. A small archival matte around the outer edge and then it is in a original Currier period frame that is complimentary and ready to hang. It even has a wood backing to it. Really just a great presentation. Frame measures 27 1/2 x 36 1/2 inches.
