These Spurs are stamped \"Crockett\" at the base of where the shank and yoke join. (see pictures). it seems an odd place for a makers mark but suggests it was an early set of spurs. I understand they were made at least partly by hand.I was tempted to clean and buff these old spurs but felt some collectors would prefer them with their hopefully well-earned patina. The spurs were clearly well used but remain sound and ready for use tomorrow. The tooled leathers are old, but complete with their buckles and fairly pliable leather.
