Vintage Boy Scout Backpack Has Condition Issues National Council New York City:

This backpack has seen better days, but is still a representation of the styles of vintage packs.
The bottom part of the Boy Scout Official Emblem on pack flap says National Council New York City. The main office of The Boy Scouts was located in Manhattan from 1910 to 1927. After that moved to New Jersey.
Pack is 14 inches wide, 16 high. There is one main compartment, and 2 smaller ones in front. Made of canvas.
By looking at some pictures of vintage backpacks this looks like a rucksack.
It does have that \" canvasy \" smell to it, but no odor of smoke as I would have expected if near any campfires for a period of time.
