Specific to this item: This plate is 9.75\" wide. This is a white plate/bowl with alternating sections of yellow and blue. There are multi-color flowers in purple, orange, yellow and pink. If you look at the photo of the full front of the plate, you can see blue speckles. I think it was intentional and like that at the time of its making as the color is under the glaze.

The outside edge of the plate is scalloped. The plate also has raised embossing in the porcelain. The back of the plate shows no maker marks.

Please see the close up photos. This plate has some chips. I would estimate there are five. The largest ones are in the photo. Despite its flaws, the blue and yellow make for a pretty plate to display.

There are places where the blue is lighter from use. There are examples in the photos.

General information about antique plates and bowls: I am listing a large collection ofantique plates and bowls. Many of these items are over 100 years old.For me, much of the charm and love for these pieces is thinking abouthow many times they have been lovingly used and passed down throughthe generations. As I was wiping these dishes down to get them readyfor their new homes, it was heart warming to think that they willcontinue to be cherished.

Owing and appreciating these dishesincludes accepting that they have signs of use. If there are anyobvious signs of chips that I see, I will note them. Also use the photos as aguide to the condition. It is common for them to have signs of age,use and wear.
