A unique piece of history handmade by Ignacio Lopez.Artist signed and confirmed by Casa Museo Joaquin Lopez Antay in Ayacucho Peru as authentic.
Ignacio Lopez was the son of Joaquín López Antay who began the tradition of secular retablos in the 1940's. Ignacio Lopez trained under his father and worked in the traditional Ayacucho Lopez style. A defining characteristic of Ignacio's work is the white roof facade with red decoration - his father used a yellow facade with red decoration. Because Ignacio pursued work in engineering before returning to retablo making, his pieces can be difficult to find.
This Peruvian retablo is in good condition considering age. No loose or missing pieces. Some paint fading/chipping see pictures.
