I am uncertain of the exact provenance of this figure, but it has been displayed in my grandmother’s house for decades. It was likely a gift from my father who served in the Navy in Southeast Asia during Vietnam or from my mother’s parents who traveled extensively in Asia during the 1960’s and 70’s.
I cannot say with certainty if it is Blanc de Chine or Guan Yin, but it certainly resembles both.
10” tall including base. Glazed porcelain with an unglazed bottom. No markings. Lovely condition without blemishes with the exception of some shelf wear on the base.
