For your consideration, a first-year (1935) original Manhattan Tray which was paired with the iconic Manhattan Cocktail Shaker and Cups when they debuted the following year - all created by famed 20th Century industrialist Norman Bel Geddes. Before the cocktail shaker came along in 1936, the tray was offered as a centerpiece tray and included a painted wire cage in which flowers could be arranged. These are not easily found today. The Manhattan tray was the first of Bel Geddes\' 19 designs for the first two years of Revere\'s Gift Line.
The tray is made of solid brass with a stain chrome plated base interior and polished chrome \"steps\" on the sides. In very nice condition with some very minor scuffs to the interior edges while the steps are free of any pitting or plate loss. The underside has some minor surface scratches however this collectible piece displays beautifully.
