Vintage Antique Wooden Storage Keepsake Box with Hinged Lid and Lock Jewelry:

✅ Antique Vintage Wooden Box.
✅ Original Use Unknown, Could be a Jewelry box, sewing box, miscellaneous storage box but it is lovely.✅ Top of box features a glossy print ofWatteau The Scale of Love Print artwork of Jean-Antoine Watteau.(1684–1721) The Scale of Love which was painted in 1715-18. Normally original artwork is on display at National gallery in London.

✅ 4 Brass Style feet on bottom of a Lion or animal. Beautiful pattern of gold around lid of the box.

✅ Front has a brass style closure clasp to close. Hinged lid. Lighter weight under 2 ibs.

✅ Inside has a lovely India 🇮🇳 Ethnic vibe wonderfully colored and patterned. Sides of inside of box lined in anold velvet velour yellow fabric.

✅ Beautiful unique box, my aunt handmade the top and added new feet and restored that part. The rest of the box looks to be very old and original optionally 1930s-1950s. That’s all I know. Initialed on bottom with my aunts initials and date “72”. Hasn’t been touched since 1972.

⛔️Outside Condition is vintage good, normal wear, aged, some scuffs scratches but minor, feet sturdy on bottom one is loose but can be glued to fix no problem. Inside is lovely has scuffs scratches and needs restored some more on the inner part maybe a lining put in and you can use it as a jewelry box, sewing box, miscellaneous storage box.

⛔️ Condition: It is in Good Vintage Condition, but selling preowned due to some amounts of wear, it was displayed for years then was stored many years in a bin, the Fan both sides have some stains, and scuffs, as shown, the tassels on bottom have some staining and discolor in parts.Has little nicks on geisha girl Side near top. Has discolor damages to both sides of backing. See last 2 photos for condition details. Please See all photos for items condition prior to buying as it's listed honestly. Needs a good home. I’m over meticulous. lol.
✅ Backstory of the piece: This was my Great Aunt's (who sadly passed away several years ago), She was a Talented Singer, Songwriter and she sang on the USO Tour back in the 1950's Through the 1960's in a girl group. After that she lived in Nashville, TN and did get an opportunity to record and sing with her Brothers and many artists including Bill Monroe, The Osborne Brothers and more. She traveled all over the world in those years and I have many things of hers I am selling, from her time in Japan and many other countries. She would have been close to 89 years old now.
