Vintage Antique Small Blue Ceramic Duck Planter Very Old McCoy?:

Judging from the weight, design, and color, this is a really old piece of pottery - I'd guess around 1930s. It does not have a makers mark, and is quite heavy for its size. I think it was painted at some point; the darker paint is chipping off. The underlying color is a beautiful turquoise glaze. The photos show more blue than turquoise, but in real life, it is that gorgeous shade of turquoise that is characteristic of McCoy pieces. The black of the eye is original, I think, because it is also glazed. It reminds me of early McCoy pieces, though I can't say for sure that it is a McCoy. With a little tlc, it would be back to it's original state, or keep the darker blue paint to remember that a long life has many tales to tell. This measures 5" long by 4 high. It's a sweet little planter that deserves a new home as it has survived all these years in one piece.
