This listing is for an antique filing box.

It was from Giles County quarterly papers. October 1880 - January 1890.

My research tells me that there are 2 Giles County, one in Virginia and one in Tennessee.

It has the old marbled paper on 3 sides.

The end opens. See photos.

It has started to come loose where you lift the end to open. See photos.

It has the metal pull on the end to pull it out to access.

This is so beautiful and it is 133 YEARS OLD! I have used it for years as a prop on a shelf to give some height. That shelf is gone so I am letting it go. It’s great at this time of year for Halloween and Thanksgiving displays and table scapes!
