It looks very nice and has been plugged in with all 7 men working away to keep the clock running! This vintage clock has a very complicated and fragile movement, and is not a toy to be played with. It is guaranteed to be functioning properly when it arrives, but no extended warranty is included, and the clock is sold \"as is\".From the Kinetico Website:These kinetic sculpture clocks by Gordon Bradt have been handcrafted in brazed and molten solid brass!
The 7 man clocks are highly polished and coated with clear lacquer. The little men and the unique coiled gear train are driven by an electric 4rpm synchronous motor, to keep accurate time. The Six Man Clock stands 9 inches tall. All men work away in realistic fashion, pushing and pulling various levers and cranks, appearing to be driving the clock. The Seven Man Clock stands 17.5 inches tall, employing an 8.5 inch pedestal underneath the Six Man Clock, with a seventh man riding up and down the pedestal. Our Kinetic Sculpture clocks are first a piece of artwork, that just happen to keep time! The clocks are handmade of soft brass, and can wear easily. The motors are also vulnerable, and may fail under prolonged use. We recommend that you only start up the clock when you are there to enjoy it or want to show it off. You could also put the clock on a timer, so that it will come on and go off at certain times. Never leave your clock unattended for lengthy periods, in case something breaks or jams while you are away from the clock.
