Beautiful old AirCal Captain's hat in great shape inside and out with the cap brass. Interesting to note the chin strap buttons are American Airlines which absorbed Air Cal in 1987. The pilot probably replaced the wing and prop ones with the AA ones during the transition. The AC business card with the pilot's name is also inside the cap. The cap badge finish can best be described as a satin steel color. It's probably one of the most unique and beautifully designed cap badges of all the domestic airlines. The cap was made by Lancaster Brand out of L.A. which was a premier cap maker for a lot of west coast airlines. Definitely one of my favorite caps in my collection.
