Vintage Abbott\'s Royal Cube Release, invented by Jack Hughes, deluxe model, preowned in very good used condition. size 8 1/2\" W x 8 1/2\" H x 2\" Thick with a 1 1/2\" H x 4\" W base. Color Red and Black with wood grain inlay pattern around base, sides and top and on the 5\" Sq. Block. Block has a 3/4\" hole running through the middle and two 1/4\" x 4ft ropes with red tiped ends.
Working: 1. Ropes with red tips are examined by the audience, along with the solid 5\" sq. block with a 3/4\" hole through the middle. Top part of stand surrounding the block is held in place by brass snap locks on the front and back.2. Snaps opened and top of stand removed and shown to the audience, and held by an assistant. Bottom of stand shown and held by another assistant from the audience.3. Block with hole running through shown and 2 ropes pulled through. (see instructions for details). Block can actually be shown suspended by the two ropes4. Block and ropes placed in stand base. The top placed over block and snaps closed on front and back. Hidden lever pulled down to release middle rope.5. Assistants hold ropes at ends with block and stand suspended in the middle.6. Magician magically pulls block out of stand, penetrating the two solid ropes. Audience and assistants see the ropes running through the stand and are amazed by this incredible penetration of a solid block through two solid ropes
