This 近代創作こけし modern creative Kokeshi doll is called ‘春を想ふ Haru o omou‘ by a Japanese artist ‘晃常 Kojo‘. The title means ‘Thinking about spring’ or ‘Longing for spring’. The doll has an expression of calm and smiley and I can see that she is waiting for spring to come.I love the smooth surface and her white Kimono with a plum pattern. It’s impressive that the face, hair, and Kimono are painted so well in the form of an egg.--------------
