The monkey is not original to the clown so you can choose if you want to keep the monkey with the clown or use as you chooseVintage 1982 Judy’s Pastime Circus Carnival Clown Statue FigurineItem Holder - this can be used to hold any item that will fit in the clown\'s lap. The space is not big enough to hold most cups but could possibly hold a vase with small circumference or other decor items - fall decor, halloween, carnival, circus, animals etc.The monkey is a vintage wind up toy that plays the drum when wound up - it works as designed but the monkey is missing his feet/shoes so he does not stand on his own. Does stand up inside the clown or you could add feet/shoes if you want to separate*the pictures showing other items are for ideas and display only - only the clown and monkey are included**There are a few imperfections I noticed. There is a chip in the brim of the hat and there is a chipped section on the back of his left hand - this hand appears to have been re-glued. There is another small chip also.
