1983 Germany Hiking Days Medal - Volkswanderung - FC 1914 Munchweiler30/31 July 1983 -Antique Jaguar Touring Car. Produced by Fritz Reu GmbH & Co HK, a family owned German enterprise since 1923.
1985 Germany Hiking Days Medal - Volkswanderung Epfenbach - 4th Infantry Regiment Prinz Wilhelm, based in Rastatt from 1864-1890. No makers marks on piece. Very detailed & ornate medal.
1989 Germany Vintage Hiking Days Medal - 6.IVV Wanderung TV 66 Rohrbach. Some wear noted along the rims. Produced and maker markedby E. Adelmann.
Commemorates General Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, who reformed the Continental Army (commissioned in 1778) into a disciplined and professional fighting force. Reverse of medal shows an interesting motif depicting Indians raiding German settlers in western America. A rare find.
1984 Germany Hiking Days Medal - Wanderung - Ski & Hiking Club Kirrberg - Space Shuttle. The medal commemorates Spacelab 1983.The hanging ribbon in German flag colors measures 14 inches. The overall length of the piece is approximately17 inches.Ulf Merbold was the first German, first European Space Agency astronaut and the first non-American to fly on a NASA craft. Space shuttle Columbia flew STS-9, which was the first Spacelab mission in November 1983.
