This is a vintage Satsuma Japanese tea set from 1979. The set includes a teapot and four tea cups, all adorned with a peacock design. The set is not handmade and the ownership history is unknown. The teapot and cups were manufactured in Japan and are representative of Japanese culture. This Japanese tea set looks new, it still has the stickers on the bottom, except one tea cup.
