Working 1973 Starlight Lava Lamp, gold starlight base, clear liquid, and green lava.

Great condition for 50+ years old.

READ - The cord was repaired by someone in the past, as it is spliced and has electrical tape on it (see pictures).

I've run this lamp many times, and it takes about 30 minutes to get the lava nice and heated. Within 10 minutes of turning it on, the lava will start forming what I call tall, thin mountains.

During shipping, the lava will most certainly get shaken up. I'd recommend running it the first time for about an hour to get the lava really heated. The lava will most likely not be in large clumps. Then turn it off. As the lava cools, it'll all sink. After about 5 minutes, if there is still lava at the top, give it a few taps to get it to sink to the bottom. With the lava all on the bottom and still somewhat heated, it'll form into one big blob. Give it about 10 minutes, then start it up again. You'll now have the nice, big blobs of lava going up and down the lamp.
