Up for sale is a Vintage 1972 Boy Scouts Membership Brochure! This is an original Boy Scouts of America advertising brochure with membership application. It reads “Got a Hangup for Something to do? Join Our Gang!”, “Scouting today’s a lot more than you think” and includes “Adventure, Learn, Compete, Build, Discover” slogans. The brochure is complete with a blank Boy Scouts application for 11 year olds (boys who’ve completed fifth grade) plus an advertisement dated September 1972 for Boy Scout’s accessories, including the Yucca Pack, Frontier Pack Frame, Scout Knife, Litt-L Vitt-L Kit, Pioneer I Flashlight, Official Canteen, Official Cook Kit, and Ranger Sleeping Bag! The brochure measures about 8½” x 14” when unfolded (the one large illustrated side is shown as two scans, due to its size). The brochure is in great shape as shown in the scans with very little paper wear and no writing, creases, rips, or tears… basically just the original folds and perforated application section. This rare vintage Boy Scouts of America advertisement would make a great addition to your collection!
