Vintage Puma Game Warden Knife. Made in Germany in the 1st quarter of 1971.
Model 971. #63171
Jacaranda wood and brass handle. Includes two stainless steel blades: thicker knife blade and thin saw blade.Nice heft. Weight is 7.7 ounces.Marked on blade: "971 Puma-Game-Warden New Stainless Super Keen Cutting Steel". Also marked "Puma Germany" near base of blade (Germany marking is very faint). Closed, about 5" length. Blades each about 3 1/2" in length.Backlock opening (somewhat stiff, depending on your grip strength).
Good vintage condition. Brass has patina and blades have some spots of discoloration due to age and use. See photos. As collectors have different views, leaving it to buyer to clean or polish or leave as is.
