This listing is for a vintage, circa 1958, Olympia De Luxemanual desktoptypewriter that comes as you see pictured in the listing and noted above. The color of thetypewriter a darker green color with matching dark green keys.I just tested this typewriter out and it does work. The serial number looks to be 1296488 but I'm not sure if there is something after the last number or not. Based on a google search on a typewriter database, this dates to 1958 and is considered a model SM3. I want to point out that when the carriage got to the end of the line and the bell dinged, I used the lever to slide the garage return back to it's home position, it seemed to bump on something each time I slide it back to the right. The entire carriage section does go up and down a little bit so I'm thinking that there is a switch somewhere that I can't see in order to keep it up higher so that it doesn't bump each time you slide it back over to the right. I hope that makes sense. I'm not sure on how else to explain that. Other than that, the typewriter looks to be in excellent condition and works just fine.When I testedthis typewriter out, I typed each letter 3 times fast in both upper and lower case to make sure that none of the keys were sticking. I pictured my sample test page for this typewriter in the listing to show you the font size and type. The ribbon is very faint so it should be replaced. I also picked some NOS ribbons but I can't find them at the time this listingwas created but I'll be sure to include one with the typewriter free of charge.
