I am qondering if this may be old new stock. It os hard to tell in the pics but it appears their is a fine layer or coating of something on this. As you chip it away its very shiny underneath. Its hard to notice but check out the last couple of photos qhere i yried showing it. It\'s hard to get this layer off however and it will take some time to chip away with your fingernail or maybe you can find a chemical for removal.
