DescriptionUp for sale is a Vintage Shop-Rite Supermarkets Cookbook! This vintage softcover cookbook is “Entertaining Six or Eight” with recipes for “143 delectable recipes for delicious foods!” It is a 68 page advertising cookbook measuring about 8½” x 5½” with an original 39¢ cover price. The booklet was published by the Culinary Arts Institute in the 1950s! The recipes cover all kinds of entertaining, including luncheons, dessert parties, party beverages, teas, dinners, buffets, cocktail parties, and snacks. As shown in the photos, the cookbook is in very good condition for its age with some cover wear and light soiling. The booklet is complete and remains securely stapled from its cover to its centerfold. It has generally clean pages with some light corner creases, a few small spot stains, and no writing, rips, or tears. There is a little paper loss due to corner chipping on several pages near the front and back. This vintage Shop-Rite Supermarkets “Entertaining Six or Eight” Cookbook would make a great addition to your collection! Take a look at the photos to best judge condition.
