ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super fun vintage atomic era table lamp with accompanying fiberglass shade. Circa \'50s. Materials: Metal, Fiberglass. The base of the lamp is constructed of a curvy brass tubing the houses the electrical cord. The black metal base at the very bottom of the lamp is amoeba-shaped, and very characteristic of the period. The fiberglass shade is conical in shape, and is beige in color with a black squiggly painting surface design that compliments the curvy brass tubing of the base. Uncertain of the maker as there are no tags or labels present. It\'ll make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed setting.
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 28\" tall x 10\" wide x 10\" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 19\" high. The shade measures approx. 15\" tall x 5\" in diameter (top opening) x 10\" in diameter (bottom opening). The black amoeba-shaped metal base at thebottom of the lamp measures approx. 7.5\" wide x 5.5\" deep.
CONDITION: Overall, the lamp is in good condition. There is some gold color loss along the curvy metal tubing, but nothing that can\'t be touched up easily. We just chose to leave it as it was acquired. There are no dents, dings, rust, oxidation, etc. The fiberglass shade is in good shape - no rips, holes, tears, burns, repairs, etc. The lacing appears to be intact. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
